Seasonal Maintenance
Step 1: Spring Clean up
Includes the removal of debris, initial cultivation of planting beds and hand spade all edges. A slow release release fertilizer from Healthy Start will be used in all bed areas to help maintain correct Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Potassium balances for plant health. Preemergent weed control applied and if requested, mulch application done on all beds. Any pruning or shaping of plant material will be done. Core-aerification or other lawn renovation needs will be assessed and planned based on client requests. Any bulbs or annuals are planted at this time.
Step 2: Memorial Day-Labor Day Maintenance
Our crews will return about 6-8 weeks after spring clean up to weed and cultivate beds. If contracted by client, beds will be re-edged, fertilization and pruning of all evergreens and flowering trees and shrubs will be done in early summer. In late summer, dead heading or pinching back perennials/annuals will be done.
Step 3: Fall Clean up and Winterizing the Landscape
Final and extremely thorough bed inspection and clean ups. Winterization of all plants and removal of debris.
